The Kiwanis Club of El Cajon Valley Foundation Corporation was established in 1995 as an IRS 501c(3) charity. Membership of the corporation consists of all members of the Kiwanis Club of El Cajon Valley, all of whom are volunteers. The first donation to the Foundation was in the amount of $12,900. It was provided by an elderly lady who stipulated that the money was to be used to benefit children, a principal objective of Kiwanis. Donations thereafter have come from several sources including from members of the sponsoring Kiwanis club. The most significant project funded by the Foundation since its founding was for a new playground in Bill Beck Park in El Cajon in 2015, a $4,250 expenditure. Children in the San Diego East County area still have numerous needs which could be satisfied through this Foundation if funding were adequate to do so. One hundred percent of monies donated to the Foundation go toward community service projects; overhead costs are covered separately. Donations may be sent to the Kiwanis Club of El Cajon Valley Foundation, P.O. Box 1136, El Cajon, CA 92022. A tax deductible receipt will be issued to each donor. For additional information the Foundation President may be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. The Foundation's EIN is 33-0673950
